Unitane Polish - A good all-around polish for most lapidary work. It can be used for lapping and cab-polishing. Non-toxic. Not recommended for tumbling.

Linde A Polish - The ultimate polish, made of the best and purest grade of aluminum oxide. The 0.3-micron-size particles make it excellent for faceting. Mix with water for a slurry-type polishing compound. Linde A will put a mirror-like finish on jade and many other tough to polish stones. Where other polishes fail, Linde A succeeds!

Tin-Oxide Polish - A superb polish used by lapidaries for decades. It will put a high polish om most all gem materials. Eloxite's tin oxide is "AAA" grade and is not diluted.

Rapid Polish - This polish has stood the test of time. It will work on almost any lapidary material. Good for tumbling or hand polishing stones. Can be used on muslin buffs or leather pads. We have had numerous requests for this polish.

Could be the answer to some of your tumbling problems is the need for a filler or carrier which also acts as a buffer to keep material such as obsidian from bumping into each other which can prevent polishing. This is a non-abrasive, angle end, cylinder shape ceramic media which works great in any tumbling stage. Just be sure the media is cleaned well when changing stages. Will help speed up the tumbling process and give a super finish. Actual size 5/32” x 5/16”.

We’ve had several requests for a pre-polish for tumbling and hand polishing. Research tells us the way to go is Aluminum Oxide. This is a good grade, 800 grit Aluminum and will serve the purpose well at a reasonable price. After running in your fine silicon carbide, go to this 800 Aluminum Oxide, then follow up with a good final polish and we think you’ll be extra pleased with the results.
